Upstart Innovator Rapidly Expands from Pilot Site to the Forefront of Clean Energy Solutions
After establishing an R&D and pilot production facility in Ypsilanti in 2022, LuxWall announced two new manufacturing facilities in Michigan, including a 276,000-squarefoot facility in the city of Detroit to produce vacuum-sealed insulated glass for buildings. These projects created 370+ new jobs and $179 million in investment.

Hydrogen Is Key Part Of Michigan’s Energy Roadmap
In December 2022, the University of Michigan launched MI Hydrogen, to foster collaboration among U-M researchers, community groups, government and industry partners.
The State of Michigan committed support to two clean hydrogen hub proposals- the Midwest Alliance for Clean Energy (MachH2) and the Great Lakes Clean Hydrogen Hub.
The State of Michigan is working with MachH2 to build the Hydrogen Truck Stop of the Future—an advanced mobility project that will establish Michigan as the ideal location for building and testing hydrogen-powered heavy-duty vehicles.
